Illinois Warrior Assistance Program (IWAP) is a warm helpline and high touch holistic resource navigation and case management service providing information, resource referrals and support to Illinois Veterans, their families and caregivers experiencing emotional challenges associated with PTSD, mild TBI, Military sexual trauma, stress, anxiety, depression, addiction and substance abuse, and overall emotional wellness.
Are you experiencing stress, anxiety, fear, depression, isolation and don’t know where to get the support you need?
IWAP offers you the option to talk to a peer and discuss referral options as well as receive high touch case management to ensure you have access to services that will meet your needs.
Family Members and caregivers are the front line for supporting the Veteran and often need some support themselves. If you are a family member supporting an Illinois Veteran and are experiencing stress, anxiety, and other emotional challenges related to caring for your Veteran, we can connect you to services that will support your needs.
The goal of IWAP is to support our Illinois Veterans and their families through the emotional challenges of life’s transitions and impacts of PTSD, TBI, and other emotional challenges they may be facing, ensuring no Veteran is left behind.
Call the confidential warm helpline at 1-877-455-4927 or visit the web with live chat availability at www.illinoiswarrior.org any time day or night to connect to a Care Coordination Specialist.
